Location Scouting 2: Living room

The opening sequence of my film takes place in one of the main character's friend's houses, so I needed to find a suitable living room for filming. I couldn't use my own living room because it wouldn't have fit the film equipment so I asked my friend if I could use hers.

I liked the sofa in her living room as it was L-shaped and so the main characters could sit it a sort of semicircle rather than sitting in one line. There was also a television which worked for the movie-watching element of the opening scene and I could use for additional lighting effects.

Right outside of the living room there is a hallway which would work well for the phone call that the main character would receive from her boyfriend. It was not cluttered and it was narrow which would help to emphasise the sense that she was trapped in her relationship.
